Welcome Aaron Elias!!!!
On May 9, 2008 we welcomed Aaron Elias Wolf into our family. We are so very blessed to have a healthy, happy baby and mother return home from the hospital. Aaron weighed 4280 grams and measured 53 centimeters in length. That is 9lbs. 7oz and 21.5 inches in American measurements!! Big boy! Brother Collin and Sister Savannah are extremely excited and proud of their little brother, and Mama and Daddy are so very overwhelmed with thankfulness that all went well with the birth and recovery.
Aaron is sleeping well, though we had forgotten how tough it is at night. While baby will happily sleep with us, he isn't too keen on being alone in bed or his bouncy seat. No matter, between the 4 of us, we don't put him down for long. Aaron also reminds us more of Collin as a baby. He has the same stork bites, and he even makes the same noises when we give him the binky.
We entertained the idea of naming him Kirby after our vacuum cleaner because he has caused his mother LOTS of pain and bruising. Lets just say he is a great eater, and is very excited to get his food. He is so sweet and cute and wonderful, and we just cannot believe sometimes that we have once again been given our heart's desire. The addition of a baby to our home has made us all appreciate each other and gives us even more love to share.
So, what you've all been waiting for.....pictures!!!
Last belly shot just a week or so before he was here....

Proud big brother, Collin holds Aaron for the first time

Big sister, Savannah is so happy to see our new baby.

Wearing matching outfits and vying for the title of sleep champion, Papa and baby Aaron snuggle up.

Home at last and can enjoy my sweet baby!

Close up with baby Aaron and binky!

The big siblings all of a sudden look huge in comparison to baby brother.

Our family...

As for me, I am so happy to be home! The weather turned really warm these past days, and it's been lovely to leave windows open and have a breeze blowing through. I'm looking forward to having my body back again. It's a good thing I had Aaron when I did because my only pair of shoes that fit had gotten really tight....and they were clogs! With this being my third (and might I add, final) c-section, it has taken a bit longer this time to get back to my normal self. Having an almost 10 pound baby might have something to do with it! As big as that sounds, he is still such a tiny little man. Oh, how we love him!
Cali has adjusted nicely to our newest member, and she sniffed him, but she's just happy to have me back home. She cried and rolled on her back when I came in as if to say, where have you been?? The kids are being a big help and fetching diapers, binkies and giving lots of love and attention to the baby. And Heinz is home for 3 weeks to help out as well. He is whipping up a hashbrown casserole right now! He really does well with recipes, and naturally he is great at holding and playing with the baby. They really like to take naps together! There is father/son bonding at it's best!
Hope to hear from some of you in the near future. We'll just be hanging around home, so visitors are welcome. Just call us and let us know when you're coming!!

Congratulations, Cindy and Heinz. You always have the most beautiful babies. Jeff forwarded your blog to me and it was such a treat. Hope I get to see you next time you are in the States. So glad Steven has another precious cousin to play with. Much love, MaryDe
