Collin as St. Nikolaus

Since I've forgotten to put a title on the last two posts, I thought I could go ahead and post one more picture so I can actually title this post! Here is Collin in a play from December 6, 2006 as St. Nikolaus. He was brilliant (obviously following his mother's acting footsteps), and he really seemed to love learning the lines and saying his part. I'm so proud of him!

And one more of the real St. Nikolaus visiting the kindergarten

This is all new, so I'm sorry if it's not as professional as I want to be. I need a little pratice!

Pictures from Savannah's birthday celebration at kindergarten.......

Poor girl was sick on her birthday day (the 19th of February), in fact, we all were. We are just now getting over most of our illnesses, and I hope we will be able to have a family/friend party here for her soon. She has had a great time in kindergarten so far. She just started at the beginning of February, and she is as proud as punch to tell us what she's done every day. Her teachers, Frau Bauer and Frau Bitner are really nice and seem to really enjoy their jobs. I hope Savannah continues to enjoy going!

So, I guess this is my first post on a brand new blog. So many others do this, and as we are so far away from so many friends and family, I thought it was a good way to keep in touch and let everyone know what we are up to. Get ready for some pictures, stories and other tales from our part of the world!

Here I am, at the place I am most often found.

Here are the kids, Collin and Savannah. Savannah is sick in this pictures, but it sure doesn't stop her bubbly personality from coming through in the picture!

And here is Heinz, the German man who brought me all the way across the ocean. He is pictured here with Collin at the Keukenhof in Holland where people flock to see the beautiful flowers in the spring.....especially the tulips!

Stay tuned for more fun and family adventures in Deutschland!
